Art and Music Unplugged, in association with Chivas and VH1, was an art and musical do which featured art displays by various artists. Held at Mezzo Mezzo, JW Marriott on Sept. 6, the affair was organized by Gallerie Angel Arts and My Company by Shruti Seth. Invision Entertainment was the chosen agency for executing the event.
Displaying their art were Anjali Vellody, Akash Choyal, Ajay Dhandre, Ravi Mandlik, Arzaan Khambatta and Nishant Dange who wowed the audience with their creations. Keeping the atmosphere live and buzzing, singer Anushka Manchanda was brought on board to engage the crowd with hit numbers. The aim of the event was to highlight the different pieces of art that were presented by the artists making it a culturally sound affair. Invision Entertainment was responsible for the look and feel of the event ensuring the guests have a delightful experience. Handling all the production, execution and creative requirements, Invision Entertainment started work a month prior to the event.
Commenting on the event, Gagan Takyar, Director, Invision Entertainment said: “We were happy to be a part of this experiment by Gallerie Angel Arts and My Company. The idea of putting art and music together at an unusual venue like Mezzo Mezzo was a bit challenging and that is what got us excited. Having worked with Marriott so closely over the years we know exactly what goes with the brand, so the entire display was designed keeping that in mind. The entire setup for the evening was well received by the guests.”
Speaking about the future plans, he further added: “On basis of the reviews of the show, we have already started working on the plans of taking this show across few cities.”

Commenting on the idea behind the property, Soni said: “There is a rhythm to everything in life and we wanted our audience to be a part of this synergy between art and music. This idea was inspired by Steve Jobs and we realised that much of what he made stemmed from his love of music, that in turn led us to the idea of making art and music a mirror to each other. We presented this concept to Shruti Seth from My Company and, once the ball started rolling, it gathered energy. We then associated with Chivas Spotlight, Vh1 and JW Marriott. Art and Music Unplugged was born.”
Elaborating on how she tapped this opportunity to cater a unique experience to the audiences, Soni said:” This concept creates an experience for our senses. We have curated this show, keeping in mind the synergy between art and music, so you will notice our artists have used music as part of their artwork as well. This synergy supports each other to create an ambience for our guests to enjoy.”
The challenging aspect for Invision Entertainment was to make sure they highlight each work equally without one overpowering the other. Hence, a basic stage setup, along with necessary branding elements, was employed to maintain simplicity. The stands for every painting and sculpture were custom made.
The event was promoted via print, radio and social media platforms. Celebrities such as Imran Khan, Avantika Malik, Kunal Kapoor, Gul Panag, Mini Mathur, Kabir Khan, Arunoday Singh, Bikram Saluja, Maria Goretti, Meiyang Chang, Neeti Mohan, Coleen Khan, Neeti Mhan and Shiv Pandit attended the show lending their support. The event was an eclectic mix of art and music with glamour.
