Ravi Shankar, famous for his paper cut relief sculptures, has done his Diploma in Finearts with concentration in Graphic Design and Print-making, Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, Chennai, India. He uses a laser to meticulously cut out the Geometrical shapes in several layers of paper which are then all put together.
He has participated in various group and solo exhibitions including; the 3rd Bangkok International Triennale Print & Drawings, Thailand, 2012, the Graphic prints at Werkstatt Wort and Bild im Bochumer Kulturrat, Bochum, Germany, 1997, and the Exhibition of contemporary art from India as collected by H.E. Mrs. E.M. School, Ambassador of The Netherlands toIndia, National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, 199o, to name a few.
