Relationship,

For me the most important relationship is the one I share with my family and the second-most is friendship.

I paint my childhood’s memories. I missed out on the kinship of sisterhood. In its absence, I imagine how it would be to have a sister. My longing for her comes through in my paintings.

I tend to find sisterhood in my friends, so my portrayals are around friendships as well.

In my earlier days, my paintings were around motherhood and a relationship between siblings.

After I become a mother, I started integrating my relationship with my child through the paintings.

This is how I portray me and my loved ones.
