Trinity has curated the ‘Meri Udaan’ sculpture for Kotak Mahindra Bank’s ‘Kotak Silk programme’ that empowers women to be financially independent. The unveiling of the ‘Meri Udaan,’ 25 ft sculpture at the DLF Cyber Hub, Delhi, which celebrates the spirit of the “Aatmanirbhar” Indian Woman, took place on International Women’s Day, 2022. The women centric project was ideated and executed by a team of women including the Kotak and Trinity teams and our artist; Shaila Nambiar.
As Shaila said “this sculpture is a tribute to every single woman, across borders and cultures who believed in themselves, who have paved their own paths.” Her inspiration for the project is “A woman who is strong, confident, compassionate, maybe weak some times, but picks herself up, she faces challenges head on. And above all, she is self made, she is her own hero.”
The 25ft sculpture is made of brass, with the cape painted in Kotak’s signature shade of red.
